If your Nafa (Chase Securities) account application is stuck on the Centralized Gateway Portal (CGP / Asaan Connect), it's almost always one of a handful of specific issues. Expand any question below to see the fix.
Account Type & Zakat
1. Sahulat vs. Normal Account Confusion
Users don't realise that Sahulat and Normal accounts are mutually exclusive — a person with a Normal account cannot open a Sahulat account, and vice versa. Most people only discover this after applying for a new account and getting stuck mid-flow.
The fix: log in to the CGP portal, edit your profile, and change the Account Type to the correct one for the account you're trying to open.
Here's how to find it:

Click the Account Type button in the top-right of the Identity Verification panel. A modal opens where you can switch between Sahulat and Normal:

Pick the right option in the Profile/Account Type dropdown, then click Save. Now re-run the application flow and it will go through.
Rule of thumb: if you already hold a Sahulat account anywhere in Pakistan (with any broker), you cannot open a Normal account until the existing one is closed — and the reverse is also true. If you're unsure which one you currently have, your existing broker or CDC customer service can confirm in seconds.
2. Incorrect Zakat Selection
The Zakat field on CGP has two options for Muslims — Zakat Deductible and Zakat Non-Deductible — and many users pick the wrong one. Selecting Non-Deductible without a valid CZ-50 form will get your application flagged and stall the process.
The fix: unless you have a valid, ready-to-upload CZ-50 form, always select Muslim — Zakat Deductible.

If you're a Nafa user coming from another broker, keep this setting even if you'd rather not have Zakat deducted — the Chase Securities team manually waives Zakat on Nafa accounts after opening. Changing the CGP setting on your own only breaks the flow.
3. CZ-50 Form Flagged as Discrepancy
If you legitimately have a CZ-50 form (Zakat exemption) and select Muslim — Zakat Non-Deductible, CGP will ask you to upload the form — and users are reporting that the upload gets flagged as a discrepancy, blocking their application.
The fix: the CZ-50 upload has strict formatting requirements. To avoid the discrepancy flag, your submission must include all of the following:
- Front and back of the CZ-50 form (both pages, not just one).
- The form must be signed by you.
- The form must be stamped (attested).
- The form must be executed on a Rs. 300 stamp paper, not plain paper.
Re-upload with all four conditions met and the discrepancy clears on the next review.
Verification
4. Raast ID / IBAN Verification Issues
A number of users have reported that Raast ID or IBAN verification fails on the CGP portal — the field errors out even though the account is valid.
The fix: the Raast ID you're submitting is almost always already linked to a different bank account. Open your banking app, unlink your Raast ID from the currently linked bank account, and re-link it to the bank account you actually submitted on the CGP portal (or vice versa — link Raast to whichever IBAN you plan to use for the brokerage account).
Once the Raast ID and the submitted IBAN belong to the same bank account, verification goes through on the first try.
If you don't remember which account your Raast ID is linked to, your bank's app usually shows this under Raast Settings or Manage Raast IDs. Every major Pakistani bank supports unlinking and re-linking without contacting support.
5. Biometric Verification Failing on the CDC App
A number of users are unable to complete the biometric verification step on the CDC app — the fingerprint scan either fails outright, times out, or is rejected even on a working reader.
Biometric failures usually come down to device-level issues (unsupported reader, driver conflicts, or CDC-side blocks on the CNIC) and can't reliably be self-diagnosed from the app.
The fix: contact Chase Securities directly — they can check the block from their side and either retry the verification or arrange a fallback path.
- Email: info@chasesecurities.com
- Phone: +92 21 34166043
Have your CNIC / NICOP number and a short description of the error (screenshot helps) ready when you reach out.
6. Address Mismatch Between CNIC and Utility Bill
When you change your mailing or residential address in CGP so it no longer matches the address printed on your CNIC, verification stops passing on identity checks alone — you now need supporting proof for the new address.
The recommendation: unless you have a specific reason to change it, leave your mailing and residential address the same as your CNIC. Nothing physical is ever mailed to you as part of the Nafa / Chase Securities flow, so a mismatched mailing address adds friction without adding any real benefit.
If you do need to change the address: you must submit a utility bill in your own name as proof of the new address. Any one of the following is accepted:
- Electricity bill
- Gas bill
- Water bill
Two requirements to keep in mind:
- The utility bill must be in your own name — a parent's or spouse's bill will not be accepted.
- The address on the utility bill must match the mailing / residential address you entered in CGP.
Upload the bill in the documents section of the CGP portal and verification will proceed against the utility-bill address instead of the CNIC address.
Portal Fields & Access
7. Unclear "Intermediary Broker Name" Field
Somewhere in the CGP application you'll be asked for an Intermediary Broker Name. This isn't obvious, and the dropdown sometimes shows only one broker (or none), which throws people off.
The correct value is always Chase Securities — that's the broker executing your Nafa trades.

If the dropdown does not show Chase Securities, close the current browser session and re-open the CGP portal using this direct link, which pre-selects Chase as the intermediary:
https://cgp.cdcaccess.com.pk/cdc/cgp/r/centralized-gateway-portal/login?intermediary=FIM2FSTPZWPJ8
Complete your application from that session and the Intermediary Broker field will be filled in correctly.
8. I'm an Existing CGP User — How Do I Open a Request With Chase Securities?
If you already have a CGP (Asaan Connect) profile — because you opened an account with another broker previously — you don't need to re-do KYC. CGP lets you submit a new broker request from inside your existing account, and you just pick Chase Securities as the intermediary.
The fix: log in to CGP, add a new request, and select Chase Securities as the intermediary broker.
Here's the flow.
Step 1 — Add a new broker request
From your CGP dashboard, open the New Request entry point:

Step 2 — Select Chase Securities as the intermediary
On the intermediary broker step, choose Chase Securities:

If Chase Securities doesn't appear in the dropdown, use the pre-filled entry link from FAQ #7 above to force the selection.
What happens next
Once submitted, your request goes to Chase Securities for processing. Turnaround is typically within 2 working days — you'll receive confirmation on the CGP portal and, shortly after, the welcome email from Ticker Analysts that unlocks trading in the Nafa app (see FAQ #11).
Dealer, Migration & Status
9. Dealer Change — How Ticker Analysts Supports You
If you already have a Chase Securities account and want to move your existing portfolio to Nafa, you need to change your dealer to Polygot Labs (PolygotLabs - 028). This is done by emailing Chase Securities directly — Nafa doesn't have a self-service switch for this.
Here's the exact process, end to end.
Step 1 — Email Chase Securities to change your dealer
Use the template below — click Open in Email to draft it in your mail app with everything pre-filled, or Copy body to paste it into an existing thread. Replace the bracketed fields with your details before sending.
Dear Chase Securities Team, I am an existing Chase Securities account holder and would like to request a change of my dealer to PolygotLabs - 028 (Polygot Labs / Nafa App) so that my account can be operated through the Nafa app. My account details are as follows: - Full Name: [Your full name as per CNIC] - CNIC / NICOP Number: [Your CNIC or NICOP number] - Chase Securities Account / UIN: [Your Chase account number or UIN] - Registered Mobile Number: [Your registered mobile] - Registered Email: [Your registered email] Please confirm once the dealer change has been processed, and let me know if any additional documentation is required from my side. Thank you, [Your name]
Chase will acknowledge the request and update your dealer, usually within a few working days.
Step 2 — Forward the confirmation to Ticker Analysts
Once you receive the dealer-change confirmation from Chase Securities, email hello@tickeranalysts.com with:
- Your Chase Securities account ID (the same one you shared with Chase).
- Your trade logs from Chase Securities — request them from Chase in the same thread if you don't already have them, or export from the Chase web terminal.
We use these to import your historical transactions into your Ticker Analysts / Nafa portfolio so your holdings, average buying prices, and P&L show up correctly on day one — you don't have to re-enter anything by hand.
Heads-up: once your dealer is changed to Polygot Labs, you'll lose access to StockIntel, Finalysis, and the Chase Securities mobile app. The Chase web terminal will still be accessible. All trading moves to the Nafa app.
10. Moving Your Portfolio From Another Broker Into Nafa
If you already hold stocks with a broker other than Chase Securities and want those holdings to appear inside Nafa (instead of starting fresh), you need to physically move the securities from your current broker's CDC sub-account into your new Chase Securities sub-account. This is a two-step process.
Step 1 — Open a Chase Securities account via Nafa
Sign up in the Nafa app and complete the CGP flow. When your Chase Securities account is issued, make sure the dealer is set to PolygotLabs - 028 so the account is operable through the Nafa app. If it isn't, follow the dealer-change process in FAQ #9 above.
Step 2 — Email your existing broker to transfer the holdings
Send the following email to your current broker (the one holding the shares you want to move). You'll need three identifiers ready:
- Your UKN (Unique Investor Number) — if you don't have this handy, see How to find your UKN number on Nafa.
- Your Chase Securities account ID — the account you just opened in Step 1.
- Your CDC sub-account ID — the CDC investor account tied to your Chase account.
Dear [Broker Name] Client Services, I would like to request a transfer of my current securities holdings from my account with [Broker Name] to my Chase Securities account, which is operated through the Nafa app. Please find the required details below: - Full Name: [Your full name as per CNIC] - CNIC / NICOP Number: [Your CNIC or NICOP number] - UKN (Unique Investor Number): [Your UKN] - Existing Account with [Broker Name]: [Your account number with them] - Destination Chase Securities Account ID: [Your Chase account ID] - Destination CDC Sub-Account ID: [Your CDC sub-account ID] Kindly transfer my entire holdings to the Chase Securities / CDC account above and confirm once the transfer is initiated. Please also share any transfer forms or additional documentation required from my side. Thank you, [Your name]
The transfer itself happens broker-to-broker through CDC — you do not need to sell your holdings and re-buy them, so there's no tax event and no exposure to market movement during the switch. Your average buying prices, purchase dates, and cost basis are preserved.
Once the transfer is confirmed, email hello@tickeranalysts.com with your Chase account ID and any trade logs you can pull from your previous broker, and we'll update your Ticker Analysts transaction history so your Nafa portfolio shows the correct P&L from day one.
11. Approved by CGP but Nafa Still Shows "Under Review"
You've been approved by Chase Securities on the CGP portal, but when you open the Nafa app your account still shows as Under Review. Nothing is broken — you're between two stages.
What's happening: CGP approval means Chase has your KYC on file. Nafa flips your status to active only after Ticker Analysts completes the final account setup on our side (linking your Chase account, provisioning your Nafa portfolio, enabling trading permissions).
The fix: wait for the welcome email from Ticker Analysts. Once that email lands in your inbox, your Nafa account is fully live and you can fund it and start trading. Refreshing the app or contacting support before the welcome email won't move the process any faster — the trigger is on our end and it fires automatically once setup completes.
If it's been more than a couple of working days since your CGP approval and you still haven't received the welcome email, email hello@tickeranalysts.com with your CNIC and Chase account ID so we can check where the setup is stuck.
12. Non-Resident Tagging Document Issues
Non-Resident Pakistanis moving from another broker to Nafa need a tagging document from their existing broker before Chase Securities can open the NRP account — and users are running into issues here.
Detailed guidance coming soon. We're still finalising the exact tagging document requirements (format, signatories, and acceptable variations across brokers). In the meantime, if you're an NRP and stuck on the tagging step, email hello@tickeranalysts.com with your CNIC / NICOP and the name of your current broker — the team will walk you through what your specific broker needs to provide.
